Configure MetaMask to Accept BNB

MetaMask is a cryptocurrency wallet that is mainly used to interact with the Ethereum blockchain. MetaMask can also be used for Binance Smart Chain, however it will require some advanced configurations.

MetaMask Wallet

  1. Login to your MetaMask Wallet
  2. Click on the hamburger icon in the upper left-hand corner
  3. Click on Settings
  4. Click on Networks
  5. Click Add Network
    1. Network Name: Smart Chain
    2. RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
    3. ChainID: 56
    4. Symbol: BNB
    5. Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com
  6. Click Add
  7. Notice at the top of the screen next to Wallet it now says "Smart Chain"
  8. If you already have BNB it will display in your Tokens list below
